Grooming

Grooming can be a scary experience for most dogs, no part of the grooming process is something that dogs would find natural.  We want your dog to be as comfortable as possible and prepared for the grooming process.  We are a low volume salon, meaning dogs are scheduled and worked on at their appointment time and ideally picked up as soon as they are done.  We do not warehouse dogs keeping them kenneled for large chunks of the day which reduces environmental stressors and keeping the salon a quieter environment.  The relationship between groomer and dog, owner and groomer are a top priority so all dogs will be groomed by their groomer when they come in.  This allows for better communication as groomer and owner get to know each other's expecations and get on the same page as far as the dog's needs are concerned.  This also allows dogs to get to know one groomer and get used to their own handling style.  This helps the dog experience less stress when they are consistently brought to the same groomer.

Meet Our Groomers

Nicole Larson (Grooming Manager)

Meet Nicole! Nicole is our grooming manager, she came to us from Riverton, Utah. She moved to Idaho with the hopes of trying new things and to see what Idaho life would have to offer. She has been grooming for 8 years, starting out as a receptionist. Her old boss took her under her wing and offered to train her to groom. Her favorite dogs to groom are German Shepherds. She loves a good, thick coated, satisfying blowout on Aussies, Malamutes, Rough Collies, etc. She loves to accomplish a good poodle trim---they remind her of why she loves grooming and they challenge her skills with the wide range of styles that a poodle coat has to offer. Nicole specializes in outline sculpting, blowouts, more difficult or temperamental dogs that need a little extra help throughout the grooming process, as well as cats.

Nicole chose to become a groomer because she has a deep love for animals and fell in love with grooming quickly when she was given the opportunity to learn. She loves the connection she gets to make with the dogs she grooms and their owners. She wants her clients to come in knowing her and looking forward to seeing her.

Her goal for the salon is to provide a low volume, quiet environment where dogs are groomed at their scheduled appointment time and leave shortly after they are done. This reduces stress on the dogs and keeps the grooming experience as positive as possible while incorporating the highest quality products offering a wide variety of options to accommodate a wide range of coat types and skin or coat issues. Her priority is the relationship between dog and owner & owner and groomer. Dogs need professional grooming for their entire lives, therefore, the ability to connect with owners and develop communication and trust in the groomer/client relationship is key to lifelong success.

Nicole has two dogs of her own, Knight is her German Sheperd who came to her as a grooming client and when his former owner needed to rehome him, she couldn't wait to have him. Duckie is a Xoloitzcuintle (Mexican Hairless Dog) who is a retired conformation champion whom Nicole had the opportunity to adopt once his show career was complete. She has fallen in love with the breed ever since. Her dogs go everywhere with her and are her whole world. When she's not at work, she enjoys fishing, anything outdoors, quilting, and creating on her cricut.

We are so lucky to have Nicole on our team! Your pets will love her too!

Anya Przybyla (Creative Dog Groomer)

Meet Anya! Anya has been grooming for 5 years, starting out as a bather for her sister. She enjoys doing Poodle and Golden Retriever trims, or a good Springer Spaniel shape up. She has also come to love doing Yorkie haircuts the more she does them. Creative grooming is her passion, from painting nails to making dragons. She has had so much fun over the years putting pet safe color on pups. Besides the fancy stuff, she is fond of helping nervous, senior dogs, and puppies get through the grooming process with as little stress as possible and lots of love along the way.

Anya has two poodles, Dobby and Stampler, and a Sheltie, Manchester Terrier Mix, Elfie. Elfie was her first dog and has been with her for an amazing 6 years. She got Dobby along the way when she first started grooming and has been such a trooper through the many haircuts and dye jobs he's had over the past 4 years. Now Stampler has joined the pack and awaits many adventures.

Anya loves to go camping, paddle boarding, and taking her dogs everywhere with her! Art is also a huge passion of hers. Out of everything she's explored, she loves felting and drawing the most.

Anya has lived in Idaho for most of her life, but came from Nevada as a young kid. She has always had pets in the family, which has fueled her desire to work with them. She's so glad she's been able to start working with animals through grooming while creating bonds with many dogs and their owners.

Laura Sherwood (Dog Groomer)

Meet Laura! She has been grooming professionally for four years. She specializes in grooming poodles and doodles of all shapes and sizes, as well as shihtzus — and she has a soft spot for her dream dog, the Basset Hound.

Her grooming specialties include big, fluffy topknots, clean and tidy faces and feet, adorable round teddy bear heads, and playful mohawks. She also has a deep passion for working with senior dogs and pups who may find grooming challenging. She believes in taking extra time to help them feel safe, comfortable, and confident during their grooming experience.

Her love for dogs began early — She even dressed up as a dog groomer for my third-grade career day! Though her path to grooming wasn't direct, she's grateful every day to be living my dream of working with animals. She grew up surrounded by pets, with four rescue dogs, two cats, and many foster dogs. Today, she shares her home with a spirited Siamese mix named Kimchi and is a proud aunt to a standard poodle named Josie.

Outside of grooming, she enjoys crafting, including sewing and painting, and she loves spending time outdoors, hiking and rafting. Originally from Roswell, New Mexico, she moved to Idaho with friends, and even after they moved away, she chose to stay — drawn by the natural beauty and community she found here.

She is truly excited for the opportunity to work with your pup and to provide them with a safe, positive, and happy grooming experience!

Emily White (Dog Groomer)

Meet Emily! Emily is a  professional pet groomer with over 7 years of experience in the industry. She specializes in Asian fusion faces, Schnauzer breed clips, and deshedding treatments. Some of her favorite dogs to groom are Schnauzers, Shih tzus, and Border Collies—I love their unique personalities and coats!

Her journey into grooming started with a lifelong love for animals. She was known as the “girl with the zoo house” growing up, and while she initially worked as a hairstylist, it never felt quite right. When she discovered grooming, it clicked—she could combine creativity with her passion for animals, and she's never looked back.

What sets her apart as a groomer is her love for teaching and ongoing growth. She's currently working toward a master grooming certification and enjoy mentoring others in the field.

At home, she's happily surrounded by her own little zoo: a golden retriever named Niles, two papillons named Frodo and Rarity, and two cats—Sasquatch and Arthur (aka Goblin). Someday, she dreams of having a farm filled with papillons, a few highland cows, and maybe even some pigeons.

Outside of grooming, she loves swimming, dancing, and gaming with her husband and siblings—whether it’s on a computer or at the tabletop. She's also an avid crafter, especially when it comes to sewing and building dollhouses. You’ll often find her binging a great show or enjoying a trip to the movies.

Originally from Nevada, she moved to Idaho at 14 to be closer to family. After a short stint in Florida, she returned to Idaho to escape the humidity and bugs—and she's happily called it home for the past 13 years.

How a Thera-Clean Bath Can Help Your Pet

  • Deep Natural Clean
    • It doesn't get more all-natural than just water and nothing can clean deeper.
  • Reduces Odor
    • Most bad odors that come from pets are signs of skin issues deep down within the pores and hair follicles. A Thera-Clean bath now makes it possible to clean out all the irritants that cause bad odor.
  • Reduces Itching and Scratching
    • Constant itching and biting can lead to increased problems. With clean & healthier skin, the itching and biting diminishes and so does the risk of secondary infections.
  • Reduces Shedding
    • The cleaner the skin and hair, the healthier it is. Healthy hair is stronger hair, in turn, holding onto the skin for that much longer. It's a cycle that all starts with the skin.
  • Environmentally Friendly
    • The future of our environment is extremely important. A Thera Clean bath uses no chemicals what-so-ever. Only a plant and mineral based enzyme is used to assist the billions of microbubbles lift the debris up from your pet's skin and pores.
  • Reduces Stress and Anxiety
    • Daily stress and anxiety for a pet can be harmful. A Thera-Clean bath relaxes both dogs and cats to a level similar to a deep tissue massage as the microbubbles clean their bodies.
  • Completely Hypo-Allergenic
    • It is impossible to have allergic reaction to a Thera-Clean bath. Why? Because it's just water.
  • No Additional Skin Irritation
    • Thera-Clean bath does not require direct contact with already sensitive skin (aside from warm bubble infused water). There are no detergents or chemicals involved and no risk of additional reactions.
  • Improves Therapeutic Results
    • Whether its medicated shampoo or a prescription from a veterinarian, the Thera-Clean bath cleans and clears the pores dramatically. It helps prepare your pet to respond more effectively to other protocols and enhances the efficiency of conventional medicines.
  • Spa Day?
    • Your pet doesn't have to have a skin issue to take advantage of a Thera Clean bath. Your pet may look good but there's only one way to be sure there's no bad bacteria, that causes skin issues, growing deep down inside the skin. So reward your pet with a day at the spa with a nice relaxing Thera-Clean Bath all while assuring yourself their skin is clear of dirt, debris, and bacteria.
  • Got Dry Skin?
    • Does your little fur baby have dry skin? Ask for Moisture Plus to be added to your Thera-Clean bath. It will give your pet the much needed moisture boost inside their pores replenishing essential oils the skin needs.
